Taylor’s 1976 Single Harvest Tawny Wins Gold at DWWA 2026

Taylor’s 1976 Single Harvest Tawny Port has been awarded a **Gold Medal** at the **2026 Decanter World Wine Awards (DWWA)**, one of the world’s most prestigious and influential wine competitions. This distinction once again places Taylor’s among the leading names in the wine industry, recognising the exceptional quality of its Single Harvest Tawny Ports, which are patiently matured in seasoned oak casks over several decades, allowing them to develop the complexity and refinement so highly valued by the judging panel.

Organised by the British magazine *Decanter*, the **Decanter World Wine Awards** are widely regarded as the largest wine competition in the world. The 2026 edition attracted around **16,000 wines from more than 50 countries**, all assessed by an international panel of experts including Masters of Wine, sommeliers and renowned wine critics.

According to the organisers, the 2026 competition once again reflected the rising global standard of winemaking, with a record number of Gold and Platinum medals awarded.
