Dom Bella Red 2015

Quinta de Bella is a 50-hectare estate, with 23 hectares of vineyards, devoted to traditional, sustainable viticulture and dry farming. Its grapes are concentrated and full of flavour, with a captivating minerality that finds expression in wines of remarkable aromatic complexity and texture.

The Bella Elegance range comprises single-varietal wines that emphasise fruit and are ready to drink upon release. The Grand Bella range (formerly Dom Bella) offers more structured wines, aged in oak and with excellent ageing potential.

LOCATION: Viseu, Portugal (Terras do Dão IGP)
TERROIR: A continental climate influenced by the Serra da Estrela mountains and the nearby Dão River. The high-density vineyards (6,250 vines per hectare) are planted in high-quality granitic soils known locally as granito podre or granito nobre. All vineyards are dry-farmed.
GRAPE VARIETY: Touriga Nacional (100%)
SERVING TEMPERATURE: 17–18°C
STORAGE: Store in a cool place (12–14°C), protected from light and significant temperature fluctuations.
AGEING POTENTIAL: Drinking beautifully now, it will continue to develop for 8 to 10 years after the harvest.
