LOCATION: S. Lourenço do Bairro, Anadia, Portugal (Bairrada DOC)
TERROIR: An Atlantic-influenced climate, sheltered by the Caramulo and Buçaco mountains. High-density vineyards (up to 6,172 vines per hectare) planted on gentle slopes of clay-limestone soil, within the region’s renowned limestone belt. All vineyards are dry-farmed.
GRAPE VARIETY: Chardonnay (100%)
SERVING TEMPERATURE: 6-7°C
STORAGE: Store in a cool place (12-14°C), protected from light and significant temperature fluctuations.
AGEING POTENTIAL: Although it develops positively in the bottle, it is at its best within the first five years after release.
With persistent, fine bubbles, it has a bright straw color with greenish hues. The aroma is citrusy and very youthful, complemented by subtle autolytic notes (biscuit/brioche). On the palate, the mousse is perfect and, together with the vibrant freshness, contributes to a mineral sensation characteristic of the brand. The finish is very fresh and extremely long, creating a wine of great elegance.
