The Douro is divided into three distinct sub-regions: Baixo Corgo, Cima Corgo e Douro Superior<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The Baixo Corgo, closer to the coast, has a milder climate and wines with a fresh, fruity profile.<\/p>\n

Cima Corgo, considered the heart of the region, is known for producing more structured and elegant wines and is home to some of the Douro’s most iconic vineyards.<\/p>\n
