Famous for more than a century for the production of sparkling wine, it is only more recently that Bairrada<\/b> has been recognised for the quality of its still wines. Whether in a classic style, using Portuguese grape varieties, or in a more international style, using French grape varieties on their own or combined with indigenous varieties, Bairrada wines always reflect the place they come from. The moderate Atlantic climate, which develops on gentle hills with clay-limestone soils, is similar to the climate\/soil of the world-famous Bordeaux region.<\/p>\n
